EP18: Written French vs Spoken French

Coucou!

This week, I'm starting a new series entirely dedicated to spoken French characteristics. If you often get frustrated or discouraged because the French you hear on TV is very different from your textbook, you're in the right place! This new podcast series will unpack the most common differences between written French and spoken French.

For this first episode, simply observe and brainstorm a list of differences you already know. You'll also get a chance to practice listening comprehension with this podcast episode that I've recorded in French :)

Today's takeaway:

1. Written French and Spoken French can sound very different. But this phenomenon occurs in pretty much every language, just like in English. You just need to become aware of those differences!

2. Download this episode's freebie to access the episode transcript.

3. Your task this week: observe and record any difference you come across, and write them down in your freebie.
